Day 1: Cochin/Eranakulam-Munnar (130 kms/4 hrs):
On arrival at Cochin International airport /Railway Station, you are received and Transferred to the resort at Munnar, the most beautiful hill station in the Western Ghats. Enjoy the scenic drive and on your way visit Tata tea factory (with permission), Pallivasal/Attikkadu water falls. On arrival at Munnar check in at the Resort. Evening at Leisure. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 2: Munnar:
The word "Munnar" literally means three rivers. Throughout the British rule in India, Munnar was the summer resort of the Government officials. The innate splendor, serenity and mild cold climate all over the year make it the much loved tourist place of both Indians and foreigners. The tea gardens and cardamom plantations give Munnar a beautiful look. It is one of the major centers of tea trade in Kerala. It has the highest peak, Ana Mudi, in South India and is home to animals like elephants and the rare Nilgiri Tahrs.
After an early breakfast at hotel visit Mettupetty Lake, Echo Point, Kundalay Lake – shikkara boat-ride – Top Station. Overnight at the Resort.
Day 3: Periyar/Thekkady: (110 Kms, 3 hrs):
After breakfast transfer by road to Kumali/Thekkady. On arrival check at the Hotel for one night stay at Kumali.
Periyar (Thekkady) Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the well-maintained wildlife sanctuaries of South India and it spreads out over an area of 777 sq kms. The splendid artificial
Lake formed by the Mullaperiyar dam across the Periyar River adds to the charm of the park. This is the only sanctuary in India where you can have the unique experience of viewing wildlife at close quarters from the safety of a boat on the lake. Boat ride at 4 pm. On return from the boat-ride watch Kathakali performance at 6.30 pm. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 4: Thekkady - Kumarakom:
Next day morning after an early breakfast visit spice plantation visit or can arrange another boat-ride at 9.30 am on Lake Periyar. After early Lunch check out and Transfer to Kumarakom. (150 kms/4 hrs). You will enjoy the scenic drive.
On arrival at Kumarakom check into Resort. Evening Kumarakom at Leisure. Overnight at the Resort.
Day 5: Kumarakom (House-boat):
Enjoy an early morning bird watching visit to bird sanctuary. Return have a scrumptious breakfast and check out. Report by 10.30 am to embark on a Houseboat for an overnight cruise up to Alleppey.
Cruise through the palm fringed canals; watch the Paddy fields, village folk, relax on board hearing lullaby of the wind and waves. Unwind yourself watching the endless strips of greenery passing by you, while the boat moves in a relaxing pace. Lunch/Dinner/breakfast on houseboat. This mysterious strip of emerald green land is stuffed with endless miles of placid backwaters that add to its charm. Cruise is till 6 pm in the evening and then the houseboat halts in the lake for overnight stay.
You can also watch sunset and stay overnight on the Houseboat. If you are on your Honey-moon, it is a perfect opportunity to enjoy Romantic Kerala as you move through the sleepy backwaters, enjoy nature at its bountiful best and your house-boat passes through charming villages and other scenic delights. Overnight in the Houseboat.
Day:6 Alleppey-Cochin/Eranakulam:
After breakfast disembark from the Houseboat by 10 am. Our driver will meet you and assist you to Transfer to Cochin airport/Railway Station
